A rotation away from highflying tech stocks was beginning to look like a full-blown selloff on Tuesday.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1%. The S&P 500 was off 0.4%. The Dow was up 21 points, or pretty much flat after setting an intraday record of 45,207.39 earlier in the morning. It was no longer on track for a record closing high.

The vast majority of stocks were rising, but the ones that weren’t were heavy hitters; Palantir Technologies was off 6.4%, while Advanced Micro Devices fell 3.9%.
