A Winston-Salem student has been arrested and indicted in connection with the mass shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, California in May 2026, according to WXII.
Sarah Lindsey Santiago, 17, is charged with:
Three counts of first-degree murderOne count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder
The Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office said Santiago allegedly planned before the attack to livestream the shooting, publicly distribute the recording and release the attackers’ manifesto.
Three people were killed in the shooting. The two suspected shooters were later found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
