The accused ringleader of a cocaine trafficking operation run out of two Penn State frat houses fist-pumped his attorney as he was hauled into a Pennsylvania court Wednesday morning — where his team argued that his main alleged henchman was too drug-addled to be reliable.

Long Island-native Agostino Abbatiello, 24, arrived at the courthouse clad in a red prison jumpsuit with his hands shackled — but it didn’t stop the frat bro from pounding fists with his lawyer.

His alleged accomplice and main dealer in the drug ring, Thomas Robinson, his attorney father Paul Robinson, and several other alleged conspirators in the case were also among those who appeared at Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.

The group faces a slew of criminal charges after authorities discovered that members of the Penn State fraternities, Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon, reportedly coordinated with cocaine suppliers in New York and Philadelphia.

Thirteen of the frat bros were busted for running the cocaine trafficking ring that forced young pledges to cut and bag the drugs, which were then peddled to students, according to prosecutors.

Abbatiello, the accused ringleader of the illicit operation, claimed in a motion on Monday that he was being unfairly held without bail and asked for the hearing to be postponed.

A Court of Common Pleas in Centre County said that Masorti’s motion was “moot” and allowed Wednesday’s hearing to continue as planned, according to court records.

His attorney said he was withdrawing the request for a continuance and was ready to proceed.

The younger Robinson was the first to take the stand, and detailed for prosecutors cocaine transactions of varying sizes orchestrated by fraternity members dating back to the fall of 2023.

It was then that he first discussed selling cocaine with alleged co-conspirator Mohammed Huraibi, 22, including conversations about “pricing, supplier and splitting the profits.”

Robinson said he knew Huraibi had a supplier, whom he identified in court as Abbatiello, prompting no reaction from the alleged ringleader.

Many of the larger deals, ranging in size from 4 to 8 ounces of product, were arranged over social media platforms like Snapchat. 

Robinson said the group favored Snapchat because messages would auto-delete after 24 hours.

He said his first purchase from Huraibi was in August 2023 for 100 grams of cocaine, which he bought for $4,000 and packaged into half-gram baggies sold for $80 apiece.

Robinson told prosecutors that the proceeds from the illicit sales were split between him and Huraibi, and by November he was selling smaller amounts as demand skyrocketed.

The duo made similar transactions almost monthly until January 2024, when Huraibi said he was no longer interested in selling coke and suggested Robinson deal with Abbatiello from then on.

Robinson said his first deal with Abbatiello was in February 2024, when he purchased 250 grams for $15,000 using cash and Venmo.

The following month, Robinson said he again purchased cocaine from Abbatiello — this time a half-kilo — for $22,000.

He said the two met for another deal that July, and that he purchased a full kilo each in September and November of that year, also for $22,000

In total, Robinson detailed $120,000 worth of drug transactions, during which he bought approximately 5.6 pounds of cocaine in total.

During Robinson’s testimony, Abbatiello’s attorney Philip Masorti insinuated that drug use had damaged his ability to accurately recollect the details of their alleged dealings, but the line of questioning was shot down by the judge. 

Next Huraibai took the stand, and referenced many of the same drug deals taking place between himself, Robinson and Abbatiello.

He said the operation had grown to the point that Delta Upsilon pledges had been recruited to bag up product for sale sometime around November 2023.

However, he said he grew weary of the grind at that point in the semester and “decided to walk away from everything going on.”

He told Masorti he was using cocaine while selling it, as well as other drugs, which he admitted could interfere with his ability to recollect with perfect clarity.
