Newcastle United boss Matthias Jaissle will be tempted to change a winning side for Saturday lunchtime’s Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth, but will be without four first-team stars.
The German must decided whether to throw new £51m signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo straight into the starting line-up against the Cherries as United look to extend their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Newcastle are looking for their first Premier League home win under Jaissle after that late penalty decision gave Liverpool a 2-2 draw on the opening weekend, but the 2-0 win over Spurs last time out, and a Carabao Cup victory against West Brom, has left Jaissle’s side with their morale high.
Both Jaissle and Bournemouth counterpart Marco Rose are new to the league, and both have injuries to contend with this weekend, with the Cherries looking for their first win of the season.

The United head coach was keeping his cards close to his chest ahead of the game, but full-back Tino Livramento is thought to be the closest to a return.
The England defender has seen Amar Dedic start the season in excellent form in his right-back role, but Jaissle is keen not to rush him back after surgery following an injury which meant he missed the World Cup.
The 23-year-old has returned to training, but is not thought to be ready to make a playing return just yet.
Three United players are definitely ruled out, with Dan Burn, William Osula and Joelinton facing longer spells on the sidelines.
Burn picked up an ankle injury in training and may not be back until after the international break, while midfielder Joelinton’s thigh problem will keep him out until October.
Striker Osula started against Liverpool but picked up an ankle injury and will be out for several weeks. Jaissle would not speculate on rumours he faces a lengthy spell out, with the young Dane looking at a potential return in late October.
Bournemouth also are missing a quartet of players, including talented forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who is out until November after having surgery on an ankle injury picked up in pre-season.
Julian Araujo has also had surgery on a thigh injury, with the right-back out for another three months following his return from a loan spell at Celtic.
Forward Amine Adli will not play until after the international break after the Morocco international picked up a calf problem, while young centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic has a knee injury that will keep him out for several months.
