4 injured in early morning Sacramento shootings, police say
Sacramento Police Department said 3 women and a man were found with gunshot wounds near Granite Regional Park.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Four people were injured by gunfire early Sunday morning in Sacramento.
Sacramento Police Department said officers responded just after 12:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting near Cucamonga Avenue and Ramona Avenue in the Granite Regional Park area.
When officers arrived, they said they found three women with gunshot wounds. Two were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the third was treated on scene for her minor injuries, police said.
Police said they then got a call for a car crash on Folsom Boulevard and State University Drive. There, they found a man who also had at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The crash occurred close to Sacramento State University, where shots were reportedly fired near a parking structure during last night’s football game. However, police said they have not determined whether all three of these incidents are related.
