Two people have died following a small plane crash in Ludlow, Massachusetts, on Saturday night, authorities say.
Local and state police responded to reports of a small plane crash in Ludlow near the Belchertown line around 9 p.m. Saturday following a report of a missing aircraft. Following a search of the area, the plane was located in a wooded area off Center Street.
Two people were found dead at the scene, the Hampden District Attorney’s Office said.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified and are responding to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by state police detectives assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, in coordination with Ludlow police, the FAA and NTSB.
No further details were released.
