Eighty-year-old Carolyn Taylor, missing from her Lincoln home since Aug. 23, is believed to have been found deceased, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has announced.

In a short statement late Sunday, LCSO said a deceased individual was located on the 38000 block of Hughesville Road near Purcellville around 4:51 p.m.

“Detectives believe the person is Carolyn Taylor,” said the statement. LCSO said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact the LCSO at (703) 777-1021.

No more information was provided in the statement. The area where she was found appears to be in the immediate vicinity of her home.

Over 300 officials have been involved in the search for Taylor since she went missing, including search and rescue teams from multiple counties, canine teams, drones, helicopters, dive teams, and other specialized units. Major crimes detectives also executed multiple search warrants at her home after suspicious items were found, according to court filings.

However, LCSO maintained on Friday that foul play was not suspected.
