Five Palestinians were injured on Monday after being beaten by Israeli soldiers in two areas of the occupied northern West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The group said in a statement that its medics transported two Palestinians to a hospital after they were “assaulted and beaten by occupation forces” in the town of Anabta in Tulkarem province.
In a separate statement, it said its teams also transferred three Palestinians from the town of Burqa in the Nablus province to a hospital after Israeli forces beat them.
Separately, official Palestinian news agency Wafa said the Israeli army fired tear gas canisters toward Palestinians at the Ein Sinya military checkpoint, north of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Israeli forces tightened restrictions at the checkpoint and obstructed vehicle movement, causing severe traffic congestion, before firing tear gas toward Palestinians, the agency said.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Separately, Wafa said an Israeli court rejected appeals seeking to halt the demolition of residential and agricultural structures in the northern Jordan Valley.
Mutaz Bisharat, an official responsible for monitoring illegal Israeli settlement activity in the Tubas province, said appeals filed by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission and the Tubas provincial authorities sought to prevent the demolition of structures belonging to eight Palestinians.
“The occupation rejected the appeals submitted to halt the demolition of residential and agricultural structures belonging to eight citizens in the northern Jordan Valley,” Bisharat said.
He accused Israel of “racing against time to carry out the largest possible demolition operations in the Jordan Valley as part of a systematic policy to uproot citizens from their lands.”
Israeli military raids and attacks by occupiers against Palestinians and their property have intensified across the occupied West Bank since Israel launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, amid warnings over the repercussions of the continuing violence.
