Last Friday, social activist Atef al-Huneidi’s home in Syria’s al-Majdal in the Druze Sweida district was raided by a gang of armed men. He was arrested and brought to Damascus. Locals report that the kidnappers fired live ammunition and threw hand grenades before entering al-Huneidi’s house, after which they beat and tortured him and threatened his life.
