Reports of a blaze at the historic mill complex first emerged at around 8pm on Saturday night.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed 12 fire engines were in attendance.
A T&A reporter at the scene has confirmed a significant response from all three emergency services, with police units and ambulances also in attendance.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and no further details have been released.
Eyewitness accounts
One eyewitness said: “I was driving down the A650 and I could just see all this smoke.
“I pulled over to have a look and I couldn’t believe the size of the fire.
“It’s unbelievable.”

A Keighley resident said: “Very saddened and shocked.
“This site has given a lot to the film industry and consequently the country.”
Another eyewitness from Keighley said: “It seemed to start on the top floor. The roof had already gone, then we think the floor collapsed about 8:45pm to 9pm.”
MP reaction
In a statement on social media Robbie Moore, MP for Keighley & Ilkley, said: “Extremely concerning scenes at Dalton Mills in Keighley this evening.”
He added: “Huge thanks to our emergency services for all their efforts and bravery as they continue to tackle the blaze and put out this major fire, and ensure all are safe.”

Statement in full
On social media, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “At approximately 8:00pm, we were called to a large fire involving Dalton Mills, Keighley.
“We currently have 12 fire engines at the incident as firefighters continue to tackle the large incident.
“Please avoid the area while emergency crews work at the scene. Residents nearby are advised to keep their windows and doors closed until further notice.
