CHICAGO (WLS) — A teenage girl charged with pushing a man from a CTA train to his death was ordered held in custody on Saturday, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office said.

Kyle Bickham’s family said he was heading home from work when, according to police, he was pushed from a moving CTA Red Line train near the 69th Street station during an altercation around 2:40 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say Bickham landed on the third rail and was then struck by another train.

Police said the 15-year-old girl is one of three people who allegedly used force to push the 29-year-old from the train. She is charged with first-degree murder, among other charges.

Officers arrested the teen on Friday. She appeared in court for her detention hearing on Saturday, and she is due back in court on Monday.

Loved ones described Bickham as a caring, hardworking man who was devoted to his family. He was one of four siblings and the youngest boy in the family. They said he loved making people laugh and spending time with those he loved.

Bickham’s family gathered at the 69th Street station on Sunday, calling for witnesses and the two other people police say were involved in his death to contact investigators.

The CTA says that no passengers or CTA workers on the bus were hurt.
