NYSP arrest man for homicide in connection to August death in Jay, NY
JAY, N.Y. —
A man has been arrested for homicide more than a month after a woman was found dead inside jer Jay, NY home.
New York State Police arrested Tucker J. Taylor on Sunday.
The 48-year-old from Ausable Forks has been charged with Murder in the 2nd degree.
It comes after police found a woman dead inside her residence at 150 Carey Road, back on August 2nd.
She has been identified as Patricia Lawrence, 54.
An autopsy revealed Lawrence’s cause of death was severe hemorrhaging resulting from stab wounds to the neck and heart. The manner of death was determined to be homicide.
Following an extensive investigation, police identified Taylor as a suspect.
Police say he was taken into custody and processed at State Police in Plattsburgh without incident.
Taylor was arraigned on Sunday, September 13th and was ordered to be held without bail.
He is set to reappear on Friday, September 18 in the Town of Elizabethtown Court.
The search was supported by the Plattsburgh Police Department, Lake Placid Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Essex County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
