Two killed in Amish buggy crash in St. Lawrence County, police say
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Route 25 in Canton. Two people have died and police said there are “multiple serious injuries.”
CANTON, N.Y. —
Two people are dead and others are injured after a crash involving an Amish buggy in St. Lawrence County.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash, which happened just before 3 p.m. on Sunday on County Route 25 in Canton.
Deputies responded to Route 25 near the intersection of Little River Road. According to the preliminary investigation, two people died in the crash and multiple serious injuries were reported.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department had assistance from several emergency response teams, including New York State Police, the Canton Police Department, Canton Fire and Rescue, Colton Fire and Rescue, Parishville Fire and Rescue, the Pyrites Fire Department, Ogdensburg Rescue, Star Lake Fire and Rescue, and Potsdam Rescue.
The investigation is ongoing.
