Three people were killed and six were injured Tuesday in a crash involving a Metro bus and a sport utility vehicle in Chatsworth, the transit agency said.
The crash was reported just after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Nordhoff Street and De Soto Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The SUV ended up partially inside the bus.
Firefighters were called to the scene for a rescue to rescue victims who were trapped as a result of the crash.
Details about the hospitalized victims’ conditions were not immediately available. It’s unclear if those individuals were passengers in the bus or vehicle in the crash or if they were pedestrians.
Further details on those individuals, such as their gender and age, were not released.

Later Tuesday, three people were killed a fiery helicopter crash in Chatsworth, the LAFD said. NBCLA confirmed the helicopter was NewsChopper4 with two crewmembers aboard.
