President Donald Trump still receives a failing grade when it comes to his handling of some of the most important issues to voters, according to a new survey.

The latest Economist/YouGov poll, released Monday, showed that 43% of registered voters approved of how Trump was handling his job as president while 54% said they disapproved. The poll also found that 87% of Republicans and just 28% of independents approved of how Trump was handling his job as president.

The poll also surveyed respondents on the most important issues to them and asked whether they approved of how Trump was handling them.

The poll found that inflation was the most important issue to voters, with 19% selecting the issue as the most important. Jobs and the economy closely followed, with 12% of voters choosing that issue as the most important to them.

However, the poll found that Trump received poor ratings when it came to those critical issues.

Just 35% of registered voters approved of how he was handling inflation and prices, while 60% said they disapproved, according to the poll. The poll also found that 42% approved of how he is handling the economy, while 52% said they disapproved.

On immigration, once considered one of Trump’s strongest issues, 46% of registered voters approved of his handling, while 52% disapproved.

The poll also showed Democrats had a narrow edge when it came to the generic congressional ballot, with 44% of registered voters saying that would vote for the Democratic candidate in their congressional district if the midterms were held today. Thirty-nine percent said they would vote for the Republican Party candidate, according to the poll.

The poll was conducted among 1,408 registered voters Aug. 15-18 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
