The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 5 of 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Friday’s 18:30 BST deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.

Bryan Mbeumo (Man Utd) £7.9m

Mbeumo is among the top 10 most-sold players of Gameweek 5 but the mass exodus may be a little premature.

The winger has delivered three attacking returns in as many matches, and was very close to grabbing a late equaliser in the Manchester derby last Sunday.

That stoppage-time effort is one of five big chances the Cameroon international has had this season. No midfielder has registered more.

Indeed, Mbeumo’s total of 2.79 non-penalty Expected Goals (xG) is the highest that any Fantasy midfielder has posted in Gameweeks 1-4.

Next up is a meeting with a Fulham side that has allowed a league-high 18 big chances conceded in the opening month of the season. Even when keeping a clean sheet at Liverpool last Saturday, the Cottagers allowed their hosts four such opportunities.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Everton) £6.5m

Everton face all three promoted clubs in the next six Gameweeks, starting with Ipswich Town this weekend.

The Tractor Boys are yet to keep a clean sheet since their return to the top flight, conceding 10 goals along the way. Seven of those have come on the road.

In fact, of the five sides with the worst goals conceded records in 2026/27 so far, the Toffees play four of them in Gameweeks 5-10.

Attacking picks like Dewsbury-Hall could prosper, then.

The 28-year-old has already had 12 shots and created nine chances in the opening four Gameweeks. Both totals rank joint-eighth among midfielders. He’s added set-piece duties to his responsibilities this season, too.

A proven Fantasy performer, he averaged 5.0 points per start in 2025/26, delivering 15 attacking returns in just 31 appearances.

Liam Delap (Nott’m Forest) £5.5m

Delap has settled in quickly in his new surroundings.

After helping Nottingham Forest win a penalty on his debut in Gameweek 2, he followed that up with a goal in last Saturday’s win at Aston Villa.

The underlying numbers were encouraging in that victory. Delap registered six shots on goal, which was more than any other Premier League player managed in Gameweek 4.

The prospects for further returns look good, too.

Forest play the division’s three leakiest defences for goals conceded – Coventry City, Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town – in the next four Gameweeks.

Available at just £5.5m, Delap was the joint-cheapest starting forward of Gameweek 4.

Tarik Muharemovic (Leeds) £5.0m

Muharemovic is one of just a handful of defenders who have yet to blank in the opening four Gameweeks.

The Leeds United centre-back international has delivered at least four points in all of his Premier League appearances.

A clean sheet and an assist have helped, but he’s also proven to be a defensive contribution magnet, hitting the required threshold of 10 in each of the last three Gameweeks.

In fact, among defenders, Muharemovic’s total of 50 defensive contributions is second only to Hull City’s John Egan (£4.1m).

While Saturday’s visit of Crystal Palace offers hope of a shutout, Muharemovic’s ability to rack up clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles (CBITs) means he could still return points even in the tougher fixtures ahead.

Having netted from dead-ball situations in pre-season and in the EFL Cup third round, don’t be surprised if the Leeds centre-back pops up with a set-piece goal soon, too.
