A large thunderstorm that made its way across Southern Alberta on Wednesday left behind power outages and road closures.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for areas in southeast Alberta for a storm that was in the Brooks area around 5:30 p.m. and continued moving east towards the Saskatchewan border.
The weather agency warned the storm was capable of bringing damaging winds, baseball-sized hail, and heavy rain.

Brooks RCMP say there are several road closures in the area due to disabled vehicles on the road and downed power lines.
Mounties say Highway 36 is shut down at Highway 1. Motorists are advised to take Highway 876 north and Highway 544 west to get around the closure.
