A mystery person won $200,000 in a country town a week ago, but still does not know it.

A ticket-holder in Cootamundra, in NSW’s Riverina region, holds the winning entry in last week’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1712.

The Lott says the winner does not have a registered account with the company and has not yet come forward.

“Someone is most likely walking around completely oblivious to the fact they’re holding a 1st Prize winning ticket worth $200,000,” the Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said.

“You could book that dream holiday, pay off the mortgage, or even help your nearest and dearest loved ones.”

The ticket was purchased at the local Mawhood Supa IGA.

Mawhood Supa IGA Cootamundra store manager Rachel Janssen said she hoped the winner was a regular customer.

These were Australia’s lottery winning hotspots this year

“We can’t believe it’s been an entire week, and we still haven’t heard anything from this winner,” she said.

“I noticed there’s been lots of wins around the Riverina area as of late and I’m thinking the community must be on a winning streak.”

Cootamundra residents who purchased a ticket at the Mawhood Supa IGA are urged to check their tickets and, if they discover they are the winner, to contact the Lott to claim their prize.
