WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump is set to take his message to the world stage Tuesday, when he addresses the United Nations General Assembly in New York with Iran, Gaza, and global security expected to dominate his agenda.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz said Trump will focus on preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The administration said Iran will be a key focus of meetings during the U.N. gathering as the U.S. weighs next steps in its conflict with Tehran.

Trump is expected to meet with leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council nations while in New York. U.S. officials have not confirmed whether Trump or other U.S. representatives will meet with Iranian officials, even as a senior U.S. official said an Iranian delegation has been granted visas to attend the General Assembly.

Trump is also expected to discuss his administration’s 20-point Gaza peace plan.

Planned meetings include British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodriguez.

Beyond the high-level diplomacy, the broader U.N. agenda is expected to include trade, artificial intelligence, undersea cables and maritime security.

Trump is scheduled to return to the White House Tuesday evening.
