Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has denied all allegations detailed in a House Ethics Complaint filed by American Muckrakers that she had sex with a variety of congressional staff members, which is against House rules.

David B. Wheeler, who’s listed as a “journalist” with the group that had a mandate to hold “terrible politicians and people accountable,” leveled the charges in a Sept. 17 filing with the House Committee on Ethics, and signed it “under penalty of perjury,” just like a sworn affidavit.

“Well, I’m not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff,” Boebert told Sources Say News on Saturday.

In the complaint, Wheeler alleged that Boebert had sex with three current and former senior aides on government time, including Clarice Navarro, Boebert’s district director; district chief of staff Raven Finegan; and former chief of staff Jeffrey D. Small.

According to Sources Say News, “Wheeler’s group also circulated a claim from a source alleging that Boebert and Navarro had a threesome” with former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) that was captured on video, although the group “never claimed a video existed, and none has surfaced.”

Navarro told the Colorado Times Recorder that the claims about her are “entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous.”

Gaetz sent out a humorous tweet reading, “I am requesting that anyone with video of me in this alleged ‘threesome’ release said evidence IMMEDIATELY! Unedited, please.”

In addition to sex allegations, Wheeler claimed that about $200,000 changed hands in 2025 “after Navarro left and threatened her own ethics complaint, though he does not claim to know the source of the money,” Sources Say News reported.

“This isn’t the first time Wheeler has made claims about Boebert based on undisclosed sources,” the Times Recorder reported, continuing:

In June 2022, Wheeler launched a website stating, among other claims, that Boebert had previously worked as a paid escort. The site featured an image of a woman who was not her, one of several errors Wheeler later acknowledged and called “sloppy,” though he defended his underlying claim about her past. Boebert threatened to sue him over the claims, but never did. Instead, Wheeler filed a defamation lawsuit against her over her public threats of legal action. That lawsuit, which was also filed under oath and penalty of perjury and included the main claim about her paid escort work, was eventually settled with undisclosed terms.

The House Ethics Committee hasn’t confirmed to Sources Say News whether a review of Boebert is underway.
