Sections of four Lincoln streets to close beginning Monday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced that sections of four streets will close beginning Monday.

Centennial Mall between M and N streets will close beginning Monday for private crane work. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 9. M and N streets will remain open.

At the intersection of 56th Street and Cornhusker Highway, left turns from 56th Street to Cornhusker Highway and Cornhusker Highway to 56th Street will be prohibited beginning Monday as a part of a street improvement project. The closure will run through Friday, Oct. 2.

Van Dorn Street between 98th and 112th streets will close beginning Monday for a paving project. This work is expected to be completed by early November.

The recommended route is Van Dorn Street to 98th Street or 148th Street to Old Cheney Road.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
