Ukraine’s 57th Brigade has intercepted and destroyed russian Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg reconnaissance UAV, using two interceptor drones to hunt down the aircraft in mid-air. The brigade released footage of the interception.
Two Ukrainian interceptor drones were launched against russian reconnaissance system. They eventually brought down the drone, which the 57th Brigade estimates to be worth approximately $100,000.

The Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg is a relatively new russian reconnaissance UAV. Ukrainian units began reporting its more widespread appearance in early 2026, indicating that the system has become part of russia’s expanding fleet of tactical and operational reconnaissance drones.
The aircraft is used for aerial reconnaissance and is reportedly comparable in flight characteristics to russian Supercam UAV, although its wing has a different shape and dimensions. Its role makes it valuable for russian forces seeking to observe Ukrainian positions and battlefield activity from the air.
