Iranian armed forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi said Tehran would continue pursuing US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even after the war ends, saying they would be held accountable for their actions.
“Even if the war ends, we will not spare Trump, Netanyahu and their accomplices. Whether they are in power or not, they will pay for their actions,” Shekarchi told state TV.
Shekarchi also said Iran would not allow the United States to regain its former position in the emerging world order.
He said US forces had no path to safety other than withdrawing from the Middle East, adding that an earlier withdrawal would mean fewer losses.
“The Americans can dream of intervening in the Strait of Hormuz,” Shekarchi said. “If they intervene in the Strait of Hormuz, they will receive a slap.”
