A man aged in his late teens is due in court on Thursday in connection with the murder of Irish Rail worker Ian Walsh in Tipperary earlier this month.
Mr Walsh was found dead in a downstairs room of his home in Ravenswood Estate on Cregg Rd in Carrick-on-Suir, on Monday, August 4.
Mr Walsh was last seen alive on the evening of Friday, August 1.
On Wednesday, gardaà arrested a man, aged in his late teens, as part of their investigations into Mr Walsh’s death.
Gardaà said on Thursday that the man had been charged in connection with the investigation.Â
A statement said: “The adult male, aged in his late teens, detained in relation to this investigation has since been charged and is expected to appear before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court at 4.30pm this afternoon, Thursday 21st August 2025.”
