Crash in Albuquerque kills teen, injures 3 others
A speeding Mustang ran a red light and struck a pickup at an intersection on Coors, killing a teenage passenger and critically injuring three others, police said.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
A 15-year-old girl died and three others were critically injured following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection late Saturday near Coors and Bridge boulevards in southwest Albuquerque, according to police.
The crash occurred shortly before midnight. Investigators said an orange Ford Mustang was traveling south on Coors Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light at Bridge Boulevard and struck the passenger side of a white GMC pickup truck.
The 15-year-old passenger of the Mustang died at the hospital, while another passenger, a 16-year-old girl, suffered life-threatening injuries. The 18-year-old driver who ran the red light was critically injured and remained hospitalized in stable condition.
The pickup’s driver, a 24-year-old man, was also critically injured and was listed in stable condition.
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating.
