Bond denied for Spartanburg County mother charged with attempted murder of her two children
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —
A Spartanburg County mother faces two counts of attempted murder after allegedly attacking her two young children.
On Sept. 26, 2026, just after 2:30 p.m., deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Bud Arthur Bridge Road to check on the welfare of two children. There, they found two injured children, home alone.
Investigators have charged 35-year-old Taylor Gosnell with two counts of attempted murder. Authorities determined that during the night before deputies were alerted, Gosnell attacked her two children, ages three and six, using both a knife and a blunt object.
Gosnell was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Facility just before midnight. She appear before a judge for a bond hearing on Sunday, where her bond was denied.
Both children were hospitalized following the incident but are in stable condition and are expected to recover from their injuries.
