They appear to be part of the 250 closing across North America.
With 250 Starbucks closing in North America, it was likely some would be in Vancouver.
Over the weekend, three downtown locations shuttered permanently, each with the same message printed on their door.
“This week, we made the very difficult decision to close this Starbucks location,” reads the notice posted on the three former coffee shops. “We know this may be hard to hear—because this isn’t just any store. It’s your coffeehouse.”
The three locations to close in downtown Vancouver are:
960 Seymour St.
891 Dunsmuir St.
125 Davie St.
Signs have already been removed from each storefront, though the interiors (as of Sunday) were still set up as Starbucks.
It’s not clear what will replace each location.
