We seem to have updated the Declaration of Independence: Israel will be open to Jewish immigration and the ingathering of the exiles – only if they support the occupation and apartheid. That’s apparently a new condition for immigrating under the Law of Return. In the Israel of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist government, just being Jewish isn’t enough to immigrate to Israel; you also have to be right-wing. If you’re not a settler, we aren’t interested.
