Provincial police and paramedics were called to a serious crash on Sunday morning that sent six people to hospital where one person died.
According to officials, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 44 near Bedell Road, just south of Kemptville.
Six people were involved and all were sent to hospital with injuries. An 18-year-old woman from Russell, who was a passenger, is dead, the press release notes.
She was in a vehicle with three others, two of whom sustained life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were both sent to hospital in serious condition.
Police are working with multiple units and are asking anyone with information to share dash camera footage with them.
