Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the heads of the defense establishment for an urgent meeting in Jerusalem on Tuesday. A few hours earlier, at the end of another electioneering tour to which he had dragged unwilling senior army officers, the premier announced at the Tel Nof Airbase that there were “signs” that ahead of the October 27 election, “our enemies will try to attack us.” He threatened to reach them “at any location and at any time.”
