Weir Rd bridge will be closed later this morning, following a truck going off the road.
A heavy crane was on its way to recover the truck. That would leave the road, south of Manapouri, closed for a period, the Southland District Council said this morning.
The site is under traffic management, with a speed limit of 30kmh, the SDC added.
