Emergency services have responded to a hazardous material incident at a logistics company depot in Clare.
Staff managed to exit the Shannon facility unharmed, following a chemical spillage this morning.
The alarm was raised at around 6 o’clock this morning, following a spillage involving around two litres of Nitric Acid at the UPS facility in the Smithstown Industrial Estate.
Units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Shannon and Ennis responded to the incident, while the National Ambulance Service and Gardaà were also alerted.
On arrival at the scene, emergency services found that staff had already exited the building unharmed.
