If you’re hoping for a change of government in Israel in a few weeks, things look precarious. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing coalition is still in the low 50-seat range (out of 120) in mainstream polls, instead of being in the doldrums where it belongs. The feckless opposition holds a majority in these polls but prefers to die on the hill of “no Arabs in the coalition” rather than simply build a government.
