(TNND) — A seventh person was arrested Tuesday in connection with a security incident at a U.S.-run military air base in England that authorities have linked to Iran in a suspected terrorist plot.

Counter Terrorism Policing said a 22-year-old British man was detained in London’s Westminster area on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. Officials said searches were also carried out in the area.

Six other men in their 20s have since been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Vicki Evans, the senior national coordinator for counterterrorism policing, said detectives “continue to pursue multiple lines of enquiry” and “remain committed to investigating all possible angles.”

RAF Fairford, a base used by American bombers to strike Iran, was evacuated Sept. 27 after a tipster reported suspicious vehicles in the area. Police said they found gasoline in three vans linked to the original five suspects, but no explosives.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said there are “strong indications” that Iran played a role. Iran’s Embassy in London denied any involvement, calling the speculation “unfounded and malicious.”

The new arrest comes after the U.S. moved B-52 and B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford on Sunday. Trump told reporters Monday he did not want to tempt “the enemy” by keeping the bombers there.

“We had a threat, and if we’re going to be threatened, we would just move them, and that sort of alleviates that,” he said in Washington. Trump said those behind the threat “would be linked to Iran,” but did not offer details.
