Israel’s National Security Council has urged Israelis abroad to exercise heightened vigilance ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, warning of an increased risk of attempted attacks against Israelis and Jews, alongside demonstrations and public disturbances.

The NSC said Iran and its proxies, Hamas and global jihad groups view the anniversary as a significant milestone.

The council urged travelers to avoid destinations under a Level 4 travel warning, Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland and Egypt, including Sinai, and minimize speaking Hebrew in crowded areas in Level 3 destinations.

Israelis were also advised to stay away from demonstrations and large gatherings, avoid sharing travel plans in advance on social media, and refrain from posting content indicating service in the security forces. In an emergency, travelers should contact local security forces first.
