BOISE, Idaho — Students at Timberline High School walked out of class today in response to violent threats made against a female student.

Boise Police confirmed to CBS2/FOX9 officers are investigating a change.org petition alleging members of the Timberline High School football team made threats of rape and murder toward a specific female student.

Police officials said in their response those involved in the alleged group chat are known to BPD school resource officers and investigators.

The Boise School District and Timberline High School announced they will be postponing upcoming homecoming events in light of violent threats made toward a female student allegedly from members of the football team. The announcement coming days before a scheduled football game against Kuna High School.
