Former Kingston taxi commission employee charged

A former employee of the Kingston Area Taxi Licensing Commission faces six charges related to financial irregularities at the embattled organization.

In a news release Thursday afternoon, police said the former employee, who was not identified, was charged with:

Fraud Over $5,000

Theft Over $5,000

Forgery

Uttering a Forged Document

Altering Documents to Defraud

Breach of Trust by an Official

In total, the former employee is accused of taking more than $50,000.
