President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr President, it is a great
pleasure to see you.

We recently met at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
in Bishkek. Today, we have an opportunity to discuss the state of our
relations, the situation in the region, and the dynamics of these processes.

Regarding bilateral relations, I would like to note that they are
developing positively on the basis of the fundamental treaty we signed at the beginning of last year.

The situation in the economic sphere can be described as positive. Our
trade increased by 21 percent last year, and this trend continued during the first seven months of this year.

I believe that our humanitarian cooperation can also serve as a good
example, as numerous humanitarian events are held in both Russia and Iran.

Overall, our relations are growing stronger. I would like to ask you to convey our best regards and wishes of well-being and all the best to the Supreme
Leader of Iran.

Of course, the most pressing issue today is the situation in the region.
We know that Iran is making genuine efforts to bring an end to the conflict
that is raging in the region through no fault of Iran, and that it has once
again put forward new proposals for a settlement of the situation by peaceful
means.

Mr President, you are aware of our position. For our part, we are ready
to do everything within our power to help you resolve this situation.

We have an opportunity to discuss all these issues.

Once again, I am delighted to see you.

President
of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian (retranslated): Mr
President, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to meet with you once
again.

I would
like to wish you a happy birthday and extend my very best wishes to you, along
with wishes for success and prosperity for your country, which is a good friend
of ours.

Naturally,
we appreciate the development of our relations, which are currently advancing
in practically every sphere. Our ties are expanding in trade, economic
cooperation and in humanitarian affairs. Progress is being made across the board, and we have the political will needed to further develop our relations in accordance with the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that we have
signed. Cooperation in all these areas can help us resolve the problems we face.

The United
States is pursuing a unilateral approach. You have repeatedly stressed that the world and the region in which we live must move towards multilateralism. We
must not allow unilateralism to gain a foothold and spread throughout the world.

The United
States is currently seeking to dictate its views to every country in the world.
Its politicians pursue their own domestic political agendas and impose them on other countries, dictating how they should act.

You have
repeatedly spoken out against unilateralism in your statements. We appreciate
this and, of course, share this approach and position.

During our
negotiations, they [the United States] repeatedly attacked us in the middle of the talks, but we never walked away from the negotiating table.

We are now
reviewing the results of our efforts. We have exchanged proposals with the United States and have once again produced a revised version of the American
initiative. Once the text has been finalised, we will again, through
intermediaries, take stock of all these initiatives.

I would
like to express my gratitude to you for your position on the regional situation
and at the United Nations. Thanks to your support, they have been unable to impose their unilateral approach on us. We are always grateful to you for this –
for your position and for the position of your country and your government.

We are
striving to end the war as soon as possible, and it is essential that our rights
are respected. However, if the other side continues to take a unilateral
approach, this will not be possible in the near future. We are therefore doing everything
within our power, taking into account our own position and the proposals on the table, to put these efforts into practice.

We believe
that our relations are at a high level, and we hope to continue moving forward
at the same pace. The conditions are now particularly favourable for accelerating the development of our relations even further.
