A Calgary massage therapist is facing new sexual assault charges after police say additional victims came forward following an earlier announcement.

Police say the new charges stem from an ongoing investigation involving a man who was previously charged in July 2026 in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred during a massage appointment in August 2025.

Investigators received reports from four additional victims alleging similar incidents after the initial charge was announced.

As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at Kinesio Massage Therapy in southwest Calgary. On Oct. 1, police arrested the suspect and seized cellular phones for forensic analysis.

Investigators have now laid four additional counts of sexual assault. Yuriy Zhivov, 53, now faces a total of five sexual assault charges.

He is scheduled to appear in court in December.
