Firefighters have spent the night tackling a major blaze at a scrap yard in Glasgow.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the alarm was raised at the business on South Street, in the Scotstoun area of the city, at about 23:23 on Friday.
A SFRS spokesperson said nine fire engines, two high-reach vehicles and specialist resources responded to the incident.
No casualties were reported.
Due to smoke in the area, nearby residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.
Members of the public were also urged to avoid to the area following the blaze which generated a “high volume” of emergency calls.
Roads near the scene remained closed this morning and thick grey smoke was still visible in the sky above.
