For two decades, the public has been eating and drinking Netanyahu, seeing and hearing Netanyahu – marveling him and loathing him in equal measure. Everyone knows his personal qualities, and as unflattering as they are, he is elected time and again. The public fears that if he were to exit the scene, they would not know how to get by “without tricks and gimmicks.”
