PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) – Pascagoula Police confirm one person is dead after a shooting at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
According to police, a suspect is in custody.
An Ingalls Shipbuilding spokesperson also confirmed there was an active shooter at the shipyard.
“We are urging all personnel to shelter in place and to await further instructions. Law enforcement was promptly notified and is currently at the shipyard and responding to the situation.”
According to officials, the shooting happened around 7:30 Friday morning.
