An 11-year-old girl has suffered serious injuries after being hit by an e-bike rider, police have said.
Officers from Merseyside Police were called to reports of an incident involving a male delivery rider and a pedestrian outside Hollywood Bowl at Liverpool Shopping Park on Edge Lane, Old Swan, at about 13:30 BST on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said the e-bike rider “apologised and then rode off”. The girl suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
PC Chris Lightfoot from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to the rider to come forward to help us with our enquiries and would urge him to contact us as soon as possible.”
He said the force wanted to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the incident.
“If you saw the collision, including the events leading up to it, then we would be grateful to hear from you,” PC Lightfoot added.
