Five weeks into the 2026 NFL campaign, three teams remain undefeated and three squads have yet to log a win. Not sure many folks envisioned the Vikings being 5-0 or the Chargers being 0-5, but here we are. Every season brings surprises — that’s basically the key to this league’s popularity — and Week 5 certainly provided unexpected developments, including a few inexplicable finishes.
So, how does the NFL hierarchy shake out after a week full of road wins? That’s the job in these here parts, and it’s a gig that demands viewing each situation in the micro and the macro before ultimately making decisions with conviction. Kind of like managing a football game. We saw some head coaches fail in that undertaking over the past few days. Hopefully, I acquit myself better here.
