The hearing started off on a tense note … when Keffe D engaged in a back-and-forth with the judge … at one point even seemingly rolling his eyes at her.

Sekyiwa Shakur — Pac’s sister — spoke in court … becoming emotional while talking about her brother’s life and legacy. She said none of the men in her family have been the same since he was killed.
Sekyiwa likened Tupac to Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy and more leaders … asking where the world would be if they’d been killed at 25 like Tupac. She asked the judge to give him the maximum sentence.
Mopreme Shakur — Tupac’s stepbrother — spoke after Sekyiwa … keeping his comments short. He said it’s a shame Tupac never had kids or got to watch his nieces and nephews grow up, and he asked the judge to give Keffe D the max sentence.
The prosecutors argued Keffe D profited off Tupac’s murder via his book and in interviews .. which caused even more pain for the family.

Keffe D’s defense attorney, Michael Sanft, said the prosecutor’s argument that Keffe caused more suffering from 2018 to 2023 by allegedly profiting off Tupac’s murder is disingenuous … arguing the state could’ve charged him at any time and chose not to.
As you know … Keffe D was convicted of murder with the use of a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further, or assist a criminal gang.
The maximum sentence he can receive is life in prison … though he’s made it clear to the judge he plans to appeal his conviction.

In a cover story published by The Hollywood Reporter shortly after he was convicted … he insisted he was nowhere near where Tupac was killed.
He says he’s totally innocent … though he said in interviews for years he played a role in the rapper’s death. His legal team says these claims were just the bragging of a man trying to profit off the horrific shooting.
Keffe D even claims he was at a bar in West Los Angeles near UCLA after the Mike Tyson fight … far away from where Tupac was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip.
