The former teenage girlfriend of “Breaking Bad” star RJ Mitte shared an emotional tribute to the actor, remembering him as “one of the kindest and rarest hearts.”
Mitte died by suicide Monday in Texas, Page Six confirmed. He was 34.
Mitte’s ex-girlfriend, Saint Sasha, posted two throwback photos of the former couple later that day, including a snap of them smiling together at home and another showing them cuddling in the sun as Mitte wore sunglasses.

“I fell in love for the first time when I was 18. RJ was the first person to show me how a man is supposed to treat a woman,” Sasha, a Portland-based photographer, wrote on Instagram.
“He was the first partner to build me up and make me feel unstoppable. He had one of the kindest and rarest hearts I’d ever had the privilege to experience and he was still a friend. I can’t believe this is real.”
“Never in any lifetime could I forget him and how he made me feel. He was the first and last of his kind,” she added. “Thank you for everything, endlessly, RJ. I love you, homie.”
Mitte’s death comes about a year after he got engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Kennedy Suarez, on her 30th birthday.
“I’m thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we’re doing,” the actor told People after proposing in October 2025.

“Kennedy is my everything, and I can’t wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us on next,” he added.
Mitte, who had cerebral palsy, proposed at a charity event in Carlsbad, Calif., that benefited United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego, where he served as an ambassador.
Suarez celebrated the engagement on Instagram at the time, writing, “My 30th felt like a fairytale…. I have the man of my dreams by my side & we are doing what we love most – helping others.”

Mitte played Walter “Flynn” White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, throughout all five seasons of AMC’s hit crime drama “Breaking Bad.”
His co-star Luis Moncada said Tuesday he noticed Mitte seemed unusually down shortly before his death.
Moncada, who played Marco Salamanca on the series, told “TMZ Live” that he reunited with Mitte at a charity golf tournament more than a week earlier.

Moncada said Mitte’s attitude seemed “different” and described him as “tired and sad.” He invited the actor to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta the following day in hopes of cheering him up.
“He was being pulled in all kinds of directions,” Moncada said, adding that Mitte seemed “very conflicted” but declining to share what was troubling the actor.
In his final interview before his tragic death, Mitte said he planned to keep auditioning and “living the dream.”
“I tell people, you know, every dream could be a nightmare, too … but just keep living it, just keep pushing forward,” he said on “The Joe Vulpis” podcast on Oct. 5.
