With the Los Angeles Dodgers down 3-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, Max Muncy kept his assessment of the matchup straightforward.
“It’s a pretty simple answer,” Muncy told reporters Wednesday. “We’re playing like shit, and they’re playing great.”
The Dodgers dropped Game 3 of the NLCS on Wednesday, leaving them with a massive deficit to overcome. No National League team has ever come back from a 3-0 margin in the championship series, so history is not on Los Angeles’ side.
Starting pitcher Blake Snell gave up four runs, and star Shohei Ohtani wasn’t able to manage more than a single amid his ongoing struggles. The Brewers, meanwhile, homered three times to keep the momentum on their side.
The series will stay in Los Angeles on Thursday, and the Dodgers need to find an answer fast to avoid the sweep.
