The New York State Police are investigating a serious bus crash that occurred this afternoon on Interstate 90 eastbound between exits 48A and 49 in the town of Pembroke, Genesee County.

Preliminary reports indicate the bus, carrying more than 50 passengers, overturned. Multiple individuals have been injured, with several confirmed fatalities. Emergency personnel, including State Police, local first responders, and multiple medical helicopters, are on scene providing aid and transporting victims to area hospitals.

The tour bus was chartered from NYC and was returning to the city from Niagara Falls.  A passenger manifest provided by the bus company confirms 52 individuals, including the driver, were on board. Several witnesses observed the bus lose control, enter the median, then cross to the southern shoulder and overturn.
