What a strange half!
City were absolutely light years ahead of Brighton and led 3-0 within 30 minutes. Then they just… stopped playing.
It allowed Brighton to settle and while the visitors haven’t been great on the whole, they have done enough to get into attacking positions and take advantage of a defence that’s totally switched off.
Fran Kirby has shown her quality and Caitlin Hayes has been very impressive at the back for Brighton. They have needed to be.
Brighton’s efforts have been worth it and they will go into half-time believing they are very much in this game.
