There are reports of heavy traffic into Letterkenny this afternoon as northerners head for Donegal at the start of their August Bank Holiday weekend.
Within the last hour, vehicles were backed up as far as the dual carriageway and to the top of Lurgybrack as thousands of holiday makers head for north Donegal beaches and resorts.
Traffic is also reported to be heavy on all routes within the town.
Traffic backed up to the top of Lurgybrack, from the Dry Arch Roundabout.
